Crew Management

Amos Ship Management provides comprehensive crew management solutions designed to support vessel owners with reliable, competent, and well‑trained seafarers. We handle the complete recruitment cycle — screening, interviewing, verification, medical checks, and deployment — allowing our principals to focus on operational and commercial priorities.

Our recruitment philosophy emphasizes selecting seafarers with relevant vessel experience, strong safety awareness, and a proven track record. Every candidate undergoes rigorous background verification, document validation, and cross‑checks with previous employers and maritime authorities.

Recruitment, Screening & Selection

We ensure that all seafarers possess the appropriate qualifications, certifications, and vessel‑specific experience required by our principals. This reduces familiarization time, enhances operational safety, and minimizes the risk of human‑error‑related incidents onboard.

Pre‑Employment Medical Examinations

All seafarers undergo medical examinations at DG‑Shipping‑approved clinics in accordance with ILO, MLC, and flag‑state requirements. Tests include X‑ray, blood profile, urine analysis, vision tests, dental checks, ECG, stress tests, and additional screenings such as HIV, Hepatitis B/C, and drug/alcohol tests when required.

Documentation, Training & Certification

We ensure full compliance with IMO, ILO, STCW, and ISM requirements. All seafarers are briefed on company policies, vessel procedures, safety expectations, and operational standards before joining.

  • Verification of certificate validity for the full contract period
  • STCW‑compliant training and endorsements
  • Role‑specific competency checks
  • Pre‑joining briefing and vessel‑specific familiarization

Crew Travel

We coordinate global crew travel through IATA‑approved agents, ensuring cost‑effective routing and timely mobilization. Pre‑paid ticket advice (PTA) can be arranged based on principal requirements.

Allotments

Allotments are processed promptly through authorized banking channels, with receipts and confirmations shared with principals for transparency and record‑keeping.

Performance Monitoring

We continuously monitor crew performance through master’s reports, feedback sessions, and post‑contract debriefings. This helps us evaluate competence, behavior, and suitability for future assignments.
